Forbidden City - Beijing, China

The location shown in the picture is the Forbidden City in Beijing. This complex of buildings was the residence of Chinese emperors for nearly 500 years, from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. The area contains 980 buildings, which are masterpieces of traditional Chinese palace architecture. Since 1925, the complex has been part of the Palace Museum.
