Jade Buddha Temple

One of the most famous temples in southern China, where thousands of people make a pilgrimage every day, China offers everything to see the Buddha carved from a huge jade block once in a lifetime. The temple was founded in 1882 to honor two huge jade Buddhas (sitting and reclining) brought from Burma. The temple, which had fallen into disrepair over the years, was rebuilt between 1911 and 1928.
